NOFACE RICKY

Artist

Derrick Cody was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. The seed of artistic expression was planted in his mind from a young age. His parents soon realized that he possessed many gifts and talents, and they worked hard to cultivate these talents early. Derrick Cody was nick-named “DK” by close friends and family and he routinely kept loved ones entertained through song and dance. His musical influences include Andre 3000 of Outkast, and he even got the opportunity to be a part of their seminal "Bombs Over Bagdad” video in 2000, when he was a child. Throughout his teenage years, DK found himself working in the presence of several notable figures, including T-Pain, Killer Mike, and several more. While still a teenager he was in a Hip Hop group with his siblings, that was managed and guided by their father. Impressively, they managed to score a major recording contract that seemed immensely promising. Unfortunately, the deal fell through and Derrick redirected his focus; devoting time to refining his sound as a solo artist. Today he has rebranded himself as NFR or NoFace Ricky and he signed an exclusive deal with Qurriculum Global Media in 2023. For 2024, and beyond, NFR is prepared to showcase to the world his incredible vocal and lyrical prowess; and elevate his brand to the ranks of Atlanta’s greatest.
